Volunteers are an integral part of Goods for Good's work. Volunteers assist with organizing and packing shipments, collecting items in their schools and communities as well as advertising Goods for Good's work among friends and colleagues.

Teacher Supply Closet Initiative

Take a minute…and imagine what it would be like to attend school or teach classes without a pencil or a piece of paper.

Everyday, hundreds of thousands of students and teachers in Malawi do not have access to the most basic school materials. In an effort to support education in Malawi, and the dedication of teachers and students, Goods for Good has launched the Teacher Supply Closet Initiative.

Students and teachers in the United States collect and donate new/unused goods through supplies drives at their schools, and in the process, learn more about the culture, history and challenges of their peers in Malawi. Goods for Good supports the supplies drive by providing informational materials on our organization and the communities that we serve. Each closet will contain enough supplies for 8 teachers to teach 800 children for 1 school year.
